TAO Uptown, the flagship location of Tao Group, has become an iconic part of New York City’s dining and event scene. Originally built as a 19th-century stable for the Vanderbilt family and later transformed into a balconied movie theater, the space was reimagined as a stunning Asian-inspired temple and renowned NYC restaurant.

At the heart of the venue is an impressive 16-foot-tall Buddha overlooking a virtual reflecting pool filled with Japanese Koi Fish. Carefully curated artifacts from China, Japan, and Thailand add character and authenticity throughout the dramatic, expansive interior.
